Guess what the latest research about the workplace shows?

Over 91% of people spend a huge chunk of their day frustrated by their coworkers’ dysfunctional behavior and think regularly about quitting their job. Go figure.

Managers waste 37% or more of their day dealing with dysfunctional behavior. Who can afford that?

And now, with all the layoffs, it seems those “left behind” are stressed and so fearful that their inability to get results will probably mean that they will soon be standing in the unemployment line too.

Enough already! If you’re thinking you want this craziness to stop, and you want to get back to loving your job or growing your business, then you’ve got to get this new book called “Thank God It’s Monday: How to Create a Workplace You and Your Customers Love.” It is one of the best books I’ve seen that can make a huge impact right away.

Even though the book is just hitting the book stores this week, it hit number 1 as a business book and held that for the entire week and hit 13 on the WSJ best seller list!

This is a “must read” for anybody who has a job or anyone in charge of ANYTHING.

My friend and colleague Roxanne Emmerich is transforming workplaces across the country from “ho hum” to “bring-it-on”. She’s consistently getting revenue and bottom line impact for many companies that is nothing short of miraculous—most of her clients are having record quarters while their competitors are posting record losses!

If you buy the book today you’ll receive lots of cool gifts from friends who are helping promote the book by entering your receipt number. Go to

Here’s to a Thank God It’s MONDAY world!

For Moms! Keeping Mother’s Day Going All Year

May 6, 2009 Leave a Comment

Mother’s Day is magic!  For most moms it’s the one day when everyone is focused on meeting Mom’s needs.  The good news is it doesn’t have to end.  With good boundaries and communication skills, you can encourage a higher level of support from your family all year long!

Three tips:

1.    Cultivate a strong belief that your family WANTS to be helpful and supportive of you.   It’s a more respectful way to treat your family and more likely to get a positive response.

2.    Notice and give thanks for every supportive act!   Make sure the energy and attitude of your home reflects the belief that everyone is extremely helpful!

3.    Ask for help often, and use language that suggests you know your family will step up!

Shift your beliefs and attitudes and watch the small shifts your family makes around you!   Happy Mother’s Day!
